CalAmp’s intelligence helps secure Spanish fleets

Maurizio Iperti, senior vice president of LoJack EMEA

Cloud-based connected car service CalAmp has launched  LoJack® España, a wholly owned subsidiary in Spain, to help customers proactively monitor fleets and protect against theft.

Like Italy and the United Kingdom, Spain ranks highly amongst European countries with the highest rates of vehicles theft. Spain’s Ministry of the Interior estimates that around 100 vehicles a day are stolen in the Kingdom. LoJack España aims to combat theft and improve recovery rates for stolen vehicles.

The company deploys an innovative MESH technology that combines VHF, GPS and GSM to provide fleet owners, managers and drivers with accurate location tracking in real-time. The technology can also help locate other stolen vehicles nearby.

Connected intelligence

LoJack España is also offering its connected intelligence technology to help dealers drive after-sales revenues. It is targeting insurers, car and motorcycle dealers and rental companies while it also forging direct relationships with law-enforcement agencies.

"The launch of LoJack España marks a pivotal milestone in the growth of LoJack and CalAmp in Europe," remarked Maurizio Iperti, senior vice president of LoJack EMEA. "From Tracker in the United Kingdom to LoJack Italia and now LoJack España, we're continuing to expand our global reach, helping customers in these markets better track, monitor and recover their vital assets with levels of intelligence and visibility in ways they never thought possible that will allow them to expand their business and thrive."
