In 2006, CalAmp acquired Land-Cellular Corp. (LandCell), a leading provider of fixed wireless communications solutions. Building on a successful line of first generation CDMA cellular modems and routers, CalAmp extended the offering to include GSM GPRS and GSM EDGE products as well as cellular broadband products with 3G speeds over CDMA 1xEVDO Rev. A or GSM HSDPA networks. Today, CalAmp offers a full lineup of modems and routers for a diversity of wireless connectivity needs over cellular networks.
