Interoperability Platform

SmartLink's ability to deliver a radio communications platform capable of delivering solutions to the complex issues surrounding both wide-area, multi-site networks and interoperability between disparate system is derived from the convergence of hardware and software specifically developed and optimized to address the demands of mission critical communications.

The core of the SmartLink solution is the software defined SmartLink I-Switch™, which controls and routes communications and also contains the database programmed to accommodate virtually unlimited communications scenarios as determined by the customer. The switch provides "always on", real-time, selective communications.

Installed at each radio site is the network link that provides connectivity to the switch and contains the firmware for signal processing. Various SmartLink I-Site™ channel modules allow any combination of existing or new communications resources to integrate as peripheral nodes of a real-time digital network. A channel module for each repeater at the site instantaneously processes the protocol and converts the signal from analog to digital for transmission over the network. Additional modules allow the integration of other resources such as consoles, base stations, control stations, and remote controls.

The optional SmartLink dispatch SmartLink I-Console™ is the communications control system supporting all dispatch operations and providing real-time access into the SmartLink system for monitoring the radio resources.

Smartlink provides solutions for interoperability and communications for the public safety, critical infrastructure and commercial market. Smartlink systems provide multi-protocol and wide area networking products, as well as remote systems products supporting multiple frequencies and air interfaces.
